SCARLET FEVER

NUMEROUS CASES INCIDENCE IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT [Per Proas Association.] WELLINGTON, June 15. The Wellington provincial district is experiencing the undue incidence of a mild type of scarlet fever. Tho latest figures for Now Zealand give a total of 60 cases and one death. Of these cases nine were in the Wan-ganui-Horowhenua district, 15 in tho Wairarapa and East Coast, 13 in Wellington, and the rest in other Wellington districts.

The Health Department is taking precautions and has issued instructions to headmasters of schools and parents.
