TO TOUR AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND TEAM. THREE SELECTORS APPOINTED. [Per P r -8s Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 15. The New Zealand Hockey Association to-night appointed the following selectors to choose the team for the Australian tour: —Messrs S. G. Holland, Canterbury (convener), R. Thompson, Wanganui, and L. C. Cent, Auckland. To assist the selectors Mr Thompson is to be requested to pick a team from the Wanganui, Feilding, Taranaki, Dannevirke, Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay districts to play Manawatu at Palmerston North on a date to be arranged. The Wellington Association’s request for a match with the New Zealand team was agreed to, provided suitable financial arrangements can be made.

ENGLISH LADIES

NEW SOUTH WALES DEFEATED Received June 16, 1.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 15. The touring English ladies’ team defeated New South Wales by seven goals to nil.
