NEW CHILD ACTRESS. [ Special “ Chronicle ” Service. ] Littlie Nancy Kelley, the four-and-a-half-year-old child who plays a boy’s part in First National’s “Alismates,” which is showing at the Bulls Town Hall on Saturday evening, claims the distinction of being the only screen player that the city of Lowell, Mass., has to pictures. Nancy has played .in only three pictures thus far, but Director Charles Brabin, who filmed “Alismates,” declares she is the most apt child actress he has ever directed. MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING The Bulls Miniature Rifle Club met Linton on the local range on Alonday evening, scoring a win on the aggregate. The A team, shooting for the AlcKclvie Cup, won by 12 points, the totals reading 1,089 and 1,077, while the B team went under by two points, final scores being Linton 771, Bulls 769. The visitors were afterwards entertained at Airs Al. A. Evans’ newly established supper rooms. Air H. MeKegney, thanking the visitors on behail of the local club, stated that the Bulls A team had not suffered a defeat Tn the first round of the competition and were hopeful of retaining the AlcKelvie Cup. Mr Page briefly responded. BANGITOTO RABBIT BOARD The monthly meeting of the Rang! toto Rabbit Board was held on Alonday, when there were present Alessrs K. W. Dalrymple (chairman) , T. Al. Richards, W J. Simpson, E. A. Palmer, W. A. Sutherland, R. J. K. Gray, and A. W. Amon. It was decided that all outstanding rates should be collected by the board’s solicitor. The inspector’s report was read and it was decided that the next meeting would be called for July 11. GENERAL NEWS It will be of interest to local people to know that the Flock House Soccer team, will play Alanawatu B on tho Showgrounds this afternoon. The Flock House boys can muster a very strong team at present and- beat Rangers on Saturday by 3 goals to 1. Owing to the fact that the NorthSouth Rugby representatives will be using Alarton Park this afternoon, the Athletic v. Halcombe junior match will be played on the Bulls Domain. At the National Show, Palmerston North, the Rangitikei Dairy Company, Ltd., (J. Smillie) was awarded- very high placings. Among these wore equal first in the provincial championships with Auckland, Cambridge and Alasterton, 377 points; first, box, suitable for export, open to all factories receiving home-separated cream, 95A; fourth, box, unsalted, for export, 94A; Alurgatroyd Butter Cup, box for export made with Alurgatroyd salt, third, points.
