ENGLAND GROWS HEATED LONDON, May 7. In view of tho heated controversy regarding the pronunciation of place names by broadcasters, the British Broadcasting Corporation has appointed a committee to settle disputes. Over 1000 names at present are listed, including Ravensboncdale (pronounced “Rissendale”), and golf, which is widely called “goff” in England.
