STUDENTS’ REUNION

GRAMMAR AND AVENUE SCHOOL. In another column there appears an advertisement asking old boys and girls of the Grammar and Avenue Schools for their support to the above association just formed and to make it the big success wo anticipate. There must be a big membership. The committee elected to carry out the work is leaving no stone unturned in the organising of a re-union to be held probably in the Drill Hall, but it is essential that their efforts should be backed up by the old pupils before anything can be done. The success of the first meeting was wonderful, the most gratifying feature being the enthusiasm of the old Grammar School boys, many of whom are now grandfathers, and even at a late hour after the meeting was over many stayed to tell and re-tell the old yarns. Old records that have been stowed away for perhaps 40 years are now coming to light, and the loan of old photographs would be greatly appreciated, The Re-Union will ring with yarns and incidents of the past, combined with dancing song and story. It will be a huge success if old pupils will back us up by becoming members. Please communicate with any of the Committee or thfc undersigned for information. —For the Committee, W. N. Willis, president, A. N. Boss, hon, sec“lT IS A CONDITION WHICH CONFRONTS US, NOT A THEORY.” —Cleveland. There Is nothing theoretical about a cough or cold. Its presence cannot be eluded.
