BROCHER TO DIE
MURDER TRIAL ENDS Victim’s Young Widow Sent to Prison ACTED AS ACCOMPLICE. (By Telegraph—Per Press Assn.—Copyright.] Received June 3, 9.20 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) BERLIN, June 2. At the close of the sensational trial at Cologne of Dr. Brocher, accused was sentenced to death. The dead man’s widow, who was 17 years younger than he, fled to Amsterdam with Brocher after the latter had given deceased an injection of mercury sufficient to kill ten men. She was found guilty of incitement and was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.
