PALMERSTON NORTH CLAIM RELAYING OF DUTCH RADIO STATION. [Per Press Association.] PALMERSTON N., June 3. At 6.30 this morning the Palmerston North Radio Club, in co-operation with Mr Waters, chief engineer to the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, successfully relayed the Dutch short wave station, PCJJ, Holland. The announcements and music from Holland came through clearly until 8 o’clock, when bright sunshine caused the signals to fail rapidly. I The club claims this to be the long- | est distance that relaying has been idone, Holland being approximately 11,- | 750 miles awijy. Therefore the feat constitutes a world’s record, which was previously held by 2BL, Sydney. Last Sunday the club achieved a Dominion record in relaying 2XAF New York.
