CHEESE SHIPMENTS

CONSIGNMENTS FROM PATEA PERCENTAGE THROUGH WANGANUI. Although a fair quantity of cheese from the Patea district was shipped through Wanganui last season, the quantity which found its outlet through this avenue was not as great as that handled during the three previous seasons. Of the 249,400 crates handled at Patca last season 45,829 crates, or 18 per cent., went through Wanganui, while the previous season 42 per cent, of tho cheese shipments went through this port. So far this year, the consignments have been about on a par with those of last season.
