MATCHES AT PATEA WANGANUI SUCCESSES A large number of Wanganui marksmen journeyed yesterday to Patea to the Patea Rifle Association’s meeting. Tho championship was won by J. Carter (Linton) after an exciting shoot-off with J. Paterson (Wanganui). The optional aggregate and the 600 yards match were won by E. S. King, of Wanganui. The tyro aggregate was won by L. Rush (Wanganui) and the teams match by Patea, with Wanganui second. Hudson (Wanganui) and four others each secured a possible at 500 yards, and there were also four possibles at 300 yards.
