GANGWAY BREAKS A WHARF ACCIDENT. [Per Press • Association.) WELLINGTON, May 2(k When about a score of watersiders, ship’s stewards and Indian cooliefi were descending tho gangway from the Sussex, berthed at Queen’s Wharf to-night, it snapped, precipitating all on to the wharf. The distance from tho top of tha gangway to the wharf was 20 feet. 1 As a result, Duncan McEwen (injuries to left foot), George Henderson (injuries to groin and left leg), Richard Smith (injuries to left foot). Abdeal Latif (internal injuries not thought to be serious), and E. C. Bass (injuries to left foot) were admitted to the public hospital.
