ITINERARY OF NEW VESSEL SOUTH ISLAND’S CLAIMS. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, May 19. “Wo still claim that Dunedin is not receiving fair or just consideration, and th© city is not prepared to let the matter rest where it now stands, but will bring it before the South Island members of Parliament.” This is the burden of the complaint of Dunedin interests involved in the itinerary of the new Islands steamer. At a representtive meeting to-day the position was discussed and dissatisfaction was expressed. “The Dunedin bodies quite recognise the necessity of running the new boat on a commercial and payable basis, but we still contend that as the North Island is already well served by connection with the Islands the opportunity has presented itself of doing justice to South Island needs,” stated the chairman after the meeting.
