OBITUARY

MRS EDWARDS LLOYD Friends of Mrs Bertha A. Lloyd wife of Mr Edward Lloyd, of St John’s Hill, Wanganui, will have lac>ned with regret of licr death, which occurred at Bel verdale Private Hospital on May 11, after a painful illness. The deceased lady was a. member of an old Northamptonshire family, being the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs A. Mansell, of Rutalnd House, Tharapston, England. She came to New Zealand in l» p -88 amd, after residing at Gore, Dannevirke and Marton, spent the last seven yeads in this city. She was a keen church and social worker and was a member of the Wanganui Nursing League as well as being an active member of tre congregation of Christ Church, Wanganui. She was also well known on the St. John’s croquet lawns. Of a charming personality and a kindly nature, Mrs Lloyd was beloved 1 by all with whom she came in contact. She leaves her husband and an adult family of four sons and one daughter to mourn their loss.
