GREETINGS TO AUSTRALIA CONVEYED BY MR McLEOD Received May 12, 9 p.m. (A* & N.Z.) MELBOURNE, May 12. In the course of his speech at Canberra festivities, the Hon. A. D. McLeod added: “I would remind you also that New Zealand’s message is not only expression of the sentiments of European inhabitants, but also of those of our great Maori race, whose loyalty and allegiance to the British crown is indelibly inscribed in tTie history of our nation. Their greeting to Australia on this important step in its national life is ‘Kia Ora! Kia Ora! Kia Ora!’ ”
