A MINISTER’S PROTEST GOOD FRIDAY COMMUNION SERVICE [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Maj A protest was entered at a meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery to-day by the Rev. W. Trotter, against the celebration of the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper at First Church on Good Friday. Mr Trotter wrote dissociating himself from the celebration, and requested that his protest should be placed on the agenda. Dr. Merrington, Minister of First Church, opposed the reception of the letter, urging that no mlnuto of the reception of a letter protesting against the sacrament being carried out in accordance with the reformed church, and the Church of Christ, should appear on the books. The meeting then went into committee ,and after debating the question for an hour and a-half it reported that the Presbytery had decided not to endorse the protest.
