An unidentified boy, about 14, was killed and his body thrown on a bonfire near the Desplaines River, where it was found to day. Who the boy was, why he was killed and who killed him, were questions one hundred policemen were seeking answers for to-night. His skull had been fractured tho nose broken and the left shoulder appeared to have been broken. “He coning from a well-to-do family,” said Chief Licht, when he had e'>a-n : ned the clothing. Aside from the letter “M” on the boy’s bolt and the printing, “St. Louis No. 4,” on the inside of his shoes there were no means of identification. The face was burned so as to be unrecognisable. Records at the Petcctive Bureau gave the names of Walter Muelhofcr. 16, as missing. Another missing boy listed was Leslie Murray, 14 of Middleport, Ohio.
