DOMINION TEAM New Zeab"<l Ccnnci! Selects the Possibilities. LAY, ROSE AND PORRITT NAMED [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 2. The New Zealand A.A.A. Council de- , cided to-night that the Australasia Championship be held on Athletic Park, Wellington, on December 26 and 27 and the Decathlon on December 28 and 29. It was also decided to ask the Australian Association to forward the names of those athletes who would be prepared to do a short tour of New Zealand after the championships. Mr Guy said he would raise the question at a later date of a championship being arranged between Australia and New Zealand. Messrs A. C. Kitto, E. G. Guy, J. W. Heenan and L. A. Tracey were appointed New Zealand selectors for the Australasian Championships. A letter from the Amateur Athletic Union of America was received notifying the appointment of Mr C. George Krogness, Sen., and Mr C. George Krogness, Junr., as representatives of the New’ Zealand A.A.A. in America. The sub-committee appointed to consider possibilities for the next Olympic Games reported as follows: Up to the Olympic standard.—Lay, Leadbetter, Rose, Porritt and Misses Manton, Wilson and Eastwood. Very good prospects.—Lander, Fleming, Grose, Oakley. Possibilitieis.— Savidan, Gibbons, Olsen, Kalaugher. A certificate was issued for the record of Thomas Oakley, of Masterton, for the one mile cycle event, grass track, in 2min 13 2-ssecs at the Park Oval, Masterton, on January 22.

NEW ZEALAND’S TEAM ARRANGEMENTS FOR OLYMPIC GAMES. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 2. The New Zealand Olympic Games Council has sent a cable message to the English Olympic Council asking whether the New Zealand team could be accommodated on the boat which it is proposed to charter for the team selected to represent Great Britain at the games at Amsterdam next year. It is intended that the English team shall live on the ship while at .Amsterdam.
