SALE AT DUNEDIN Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., Wanganui advise having received the following report from their Dunedin office:— We offered a fair sized catalogue at this week’s rabbit skin sale to a very full attendance of buyers. Competition was exceptionally keen for all (classes of skins and prices for summers 'racks and (lawny autumns were very ! firm at last sale’s prices. Owing to the i cold weather and winter being close at ■hand the quality of the skins on offer ■is improving considerably, and we had •a few lots of incoming winters and 1 early winters on the sale this week. 'The former realised up to Iood per lb. ■ and the latter up to 105 d. "When these ■ prices are paid for incoming skins it is I apparent that very satisfactory rates i will be paid to trappers later on in the 1 scasor when the full winter skins come ■to hand.
