SERIOUS CHARGES
ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES TWO WEN FOR TRIAL. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, April 29. The hearing of charges against Henry Emmett Shiel and Stanley Kitchener Barnet, of making a false document, obtaining a motor car by false pretences and conspiring to defraud the N.Z. Motor and Engineering Company, of a car valued at £298, was continued this morning, before My. J. B. Bartholomew, S.M. Each of the accused was committed for trial to the Supreme Court, each reserving his defence, bail being allowed.
