WANGANUI TRAMPIN!.’ CLUB WEEK-END JAUNT. Last week-end the Wanganui Tramping Club tramped to thu South beach and returned Lome by way uf the KiflRange. This was a most successful out ing, thoroughly enjoyed by all present Those who failed to turn up missed s treat. This afternoon members will lea .<■ the St. John’s Post Office at 2.30 p.m. and will visit Westmere Lake. The return home will be made by way of the Kaikokopu Road, a route which will prove a revelation to those who have not hitherto traversed it. Members who take an interest in photography may make these jaunts still more pleasing and enjoyable. Many competitions could be arranged by the committee for photographers, small prizes being offered for the bcsl photograph taken on different tramping expeditions.
LADIES’ HARRIER CLUB SEASON’S ACTIVITIES. Next week, it is hoped, tho club will be able to enrol any now members who wish to join up for this season. Active members will find a few notein next week’s columns on training :ux><i it is hoped that they will make use of them. Enthusiasts are requested not to train too strenuously for a start, athey are apt to lose interest and get “stale. ’ ’ This year there will be several buttons for competition and this should make the runs interesting. The regulation j^ostume—black gymdross, whito blouse and shoes —will again be worn this year. Tho captain and vice-captain, when elected, will choose the colour for their sashes.
