ORGANISING WORK
AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE GOOD PROGRESS MADE. [Per Press Association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, April 28. The Agricultural College Council met to-day, when the Hon. George Fowlds, chairman, expressed pleasure at the progress of the organising work, and ihat some of the initial difficulties were being cleaned up. Material progress had, he said, bean made a result of a joint conference held in Wellington on Tuesday between representatives of the Dairy Produce Board, Research Council, Agricultural Department and the College Board. An agreement had been come to regarding the spheres of operations of each body, and a composite centre is to be formed to supervise generally activities in dairy research.
Mr. Fowlds said the Dairy Produce Board was contributing £,3000 toward the cost of dairy research for the ensuing year.
