BRITAIN’S FINANCES A UNIONIST CONFERENCE Received April 17, 5.5 pm. (A. & N.Z.) LONDON, April 16. The Parliamentary correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that when Parliament resumes a meeting of Union members advocating economy and a policy of retrenchment, will consider the drawing up of a practical programme of economics for submission to Mr Winston Churchill, who, it is said, would welcome the help of friendly members in curtailing departmental expenditure.
