THREE DROWNED

ACCIDENT AT AUCKLAND SMALL DINGHY SWAMPED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 17. A drowning accident involving the loss of three lives occurred off Rangitoto Island after dark to-night. Two men, Walter Noyes, of Glenmore, .and Roy Matheson, of Auckland, left vior St. Heliers Bay from the island in a dinghy, accompanied by Harold [Walby, of Auckland, Miss Frankland I and her sister, Mrs. Longnett, of Devonport. During the trip the dinghy was swamped and Matheson, Miss Frankland and Mrs. Longnett were drowned. The others were rescued by a passing boat.
