Mr A. J. Joblin, Mayor of Taihapo, is staying at Foster’s Hotel.
Mr and Mrs George H. Scales, of Wellington, are guests at the Rutland Hotel.
Mr A. J. C. Runciman, Mayor of Dannevirke, and Mrs Runciman, are at the Rutland Hotel.
Mr and Mrs Manning, of London, Canada, are visiting Wanganui. They are at the Rutland Hotel.
Sir James Parr, according to a London message, was presented by Mr L. S. Amery (Secretary of State for the Dominions) at the King’s levee.
Mr H. Morgan, who has b'/en Registrar of the Wanganui Supreme Court since 1922, has received notice of his transfer to Hamilton. Mr W. S. Jones of Masterton will succeed Mr Morgan.
Mr Bernard McCarthy, formerly of Wanganui, but now playing in the musical comedy, “RoseMaric, ” is at present understudying Mr George Bryant, who has the part of Black Eagle. The leading male member of the cast is Mr Reginald Dandy.
