WANGANUI ASSOCIATION RESIDENTIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS The final of the ladies’ doubles between Miss Calver and Mrs Richardson (Wanganui) and Misses Myers and Purcell (St. John's) was played on Tuesday afternoon, a well contested match resulting in favour of the Wanganui pair, the score being 7 —5, 4—6, The remaining events will be continued on Saturday afternoon when the following matches will commence at 12.30: Aten’s Singles.—Wheeler v. Jones, Barkman. v. Potae, Dr. Christie V. Gover. Combined Doubles.-—Lampe and Miss Atyers v. Hounsell and Mrs Smith (semi-final). On the conclusion of these games the semi-final of men’s doubles, Wheeler and Gover v. Barkman and Powdrell. will be played, to be followed be the semi-finals of men’s singles and combined doubles. All players not engaged in matches above mentioned are requested to be on attendance not later than 2 p.m.
