WOMEN SEEK SEATS DEPUTATION TO STATE GOVERNOR. SYDNEY, March 9. A deputation representing Labour women’s organisations waited on the State Governor (Sir Dudley do Chair), and urged him to give favourable consideration to the Government’s request that Labour women nominees should be appointed to the Legislative Council. The Governor replied that no additional grounds were put forward why the appointments should be made, but he would keep in mind the representations made for further reference.
