NAVY CUTS
TREASURY WANTS MORE BATTLE OF ESTIMATES LONDON, March 7. The “Star” says that the Admiralty and the Treasury arc fiercely battling over reductions in estimates of expenditure. The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr Winston Churchill) requested the estimates to be returned to the Admiralty six times, but they show little saving.
