OWLS TO THE RESCUE SHIPMENT FOB NORFOLK ISLAND Received March 9. 8.45 p.m. SYDNEY, March 9. The steamer Makambo shipped for Norfolk Island a small consignment of owls, brought from San Diego, to be released on the island to counteract the rat pest.
