TRAPPED
UNDER CAPSIZED BOAT OWNER DROWNED LAUNCESTON, March 7. Caught under the auxiliary ketch. Dauntless, when it was capsized by a wave, its master ami owner, George McKay, was drowned on Friday. With Frederick Johnson, ho had been fishing. Johnson, who had a wounded leg, had a ‘hard struggle to reach the shore. He had to walk six miles along the bank before the mate could take him aboard again after the boat was righted. These two brought the ketch to Launceston last, night. McKay, who was 45, was married and had two children.
