STOLE FLOUR AND MILK THEFTS FROM A STEAMER. (Per Prew Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 29. Jack’ Stanley Miles, a ship’s baker, and Thomas Bailey Wilson, a labourer, were found on the wharf with 1001 b of flour and tins of condc. ! milk. They appeared in Court charged with the theft of goods from the steamer Maheno. Miles was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment, and is to be placed aboard if the vessel sails in the meantime. The other man got the benefit of the doubt of the knowledge that the goods were stolen. The goods were secreted in the sidecar of a motor cycle.
