Cook, the British Miners’ Federation secretary, sent a letter thanking the Soviet bodies and promising greater revolutionary activity in Britain. He intends to visit Russia again in May. The letter adds: “It is necessary to employ Russian methods to win. We must reorganise the trade unions on a class war basis, discarding leaders of the MacDonald and Thomas type, who believe in compromise with the capitalists.’ ’
