SEA TRAGEDY
TWENTY-FOUR LOST VESSELS IN COLLISION FRENCH BARQUE SUNK BY STEAM ER Received Dec. 27, 7.50 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 27. The steamer Burutu, of Liverpool has arrived at Portland. She reports having been in collision with the French barque Eugene Schneider which sank. Four of the barque’s crew were saved bythe Burutu’s boats. Twenty-four lare missing and arc belived to have been lost.
