Wellington City, 97,986; Lower Hutt, 7759; Petone, ;9212; Eastbourne, 1841; Johnsonville, 1188; total, 117.986. Christchurch City, 83,105; Riccarton, 4574; New Brighton, 4483; Sumner, 3091; Lyttelton, 3682; total, 98,935. Dunedin City, 67,544; Port Chalmers, 2572; West Harbour, 1991; St. Kilda, 7947; Green Island, 2145; Afosgicl, 1932; total, 84,131.
