I He has served through two campaigns, | and has seen eight and a-half years’ I i service in the field. j Colonel Fenwick joined the Medical I Corps in 1899, and sailed for South | Africa with the Second Contingent, I serving there for two years. During I that time he served in battles in the I , Orange Free State, in the Transvaal, j and in Cape Colony, receiving the I Queen’s medal with two clasps. 1 f In 1914. Colonel Fenwick sailed with ! the Main Body and saw service on GalI lipoli and in Egypt, having been ou the ( active list of the Territorial forces 1 since the Boer War. Later, he went 'to France, and then took charge of rhe No. 3 N.Z. General Hospital at Codford, and then No. 1 N.Z. Hospital ' at Brockenhurst- In 1920, Colonel Fenl wick returned to New Zealand in charge of the hospital ship Marama, i and was appointed A.D.M.B. for the Southern Command. He was mentioned in dispatches, and | was made a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George for his work during the Great War, and he received the 1914-15 Star and general service medals. Colonel T. Mill, C.M.G., CJB.E., M. 8.. who, at present, is on the Reserve of «>liicers. will take over the position ■of A.D.M.S. During the war, Colonel i Mill was commandant of Walton Hosi pital, in England. Colonel Fenwick 1 will retain his position of honorary ! surgeon and aide-de-camp to the Govct-nor-Gcneral for the next two years.
