Tunnev plunged into th«> water, which is at'least !♦>» feet deep, and was only rescued after his friends, forming a /human chain, kept him from sinking until other persons were attracted to the scene and helped to pull him out on to the ice. Tunney had been so long immersed that he was thoroughly chilled, and he was taken to hospital and put to bed.
