FREEZING COMPANY LOSSES

DYING SHAREHOLDER’S SYMPATHY At the annual meeting of the Freezing Company’s shareholders last Wednesday, the following letter from the late Mother Mary Joseph Aubert (dictated shortly before her death) was read: “Enclosed please find cheque for amount due by Mother Mary Aubert for calls due on shares held by her in your company, as per your circular letter. “Mother Mary Aubert, who is fast approaching her end. offers her sympathy to yourself and the directors of the company in this crisis of its affairs, and hopes that no one will suffer irreparable loss because of it.” The chairman said that in the midst of their troubles the directors had greatly appreciated the sympathy of such a noble woman. The letter voiced a spirit of charity, in strong contrast to other letters they had received.
