A.B. CLEANING PANTS OIL TANKER UP IN SMOKE. SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 4. Jack Handberg. a Swedish sailor on hoard the oil tanker Warwick, in harbour at Wilmington, California, was cleaning his trousers with petrol while smoking an old clay pipe. His little tin can of petrol exploded and in the next second the tanker blew up. Two of the crew were killed and six injured. Buildings within three miles were shaken by the detonation. The loss is estimated' at £50,000.
