BITTEN BY POLICE DOG Colonel Brazier Craig. a “volunteer burglar.” was badly bitten during Ihe police dog trials nt Ingatestonc, near Chelmsford, England. He endeavoured to recover on object on the ground near a tethered dog, when the animal, which had defied a dozen other volunteers, broke away from its fastenings and leaped at his throat. Officials rushed to the' rescue, hut Colonel Brazier Craig was badly bitten on both arms in trying to ward off the dog. Tic had to be medically attended. The dog secured a first prize.
