THE WELLINGTON CASE MAGISTRATE RESERVES DECISION (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON. .Tune 5. In connection with the prosecution of Harold Percival Bishop and Alfred Dawson for conducting a 14 Roll Down.’’ the magistrate, Mr E. Page, visited tile premises and watched a contest between two players, who were called by the defence yesterday, and two detectives. Press representatives wore admitted at the instigation of the magistrate, after refusal by the defendants. Playing with wooden balls, the two experts won 15 and tied in one game out of 24 with the detectives, who rolled with their heads averted. Playing with billiard balls the detectives and one press man under the same conditions won six out of 28 games against the three experts. Tn a game for all present a detective and another made the possible and the detective won in the play off.
The magistrate stated that he would give his written decision next week.
