A DUNEDIN FIRE

BUILDING BADLY GUTTED VERY LITTLE SAVED TWENTY MOTOR CARS DAMAGED [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, June 7. At 10.30 o’clock this evening a building in Moray Place, owned by the ►Shand estate and occupied by Reilly, fruit mart, and Carter’s Motors, was badly gutted by fire. The building, an old one, burnt fiercely. Carter’s Motors had 20 cars all damaged, though saved. Reilly’s contained £6OOO stock of produce—wheat, oats, fruit, potatoes, etc. It is feared very little was saved. The insurance arc unavailable.
