GRADING RETURNS FOB MONTH OF MARCH. PORT OF WANGANUI FIGURES. Although the early autumn production figures showed a rising tendency, the dry spell experienced during the past few weeks has had a tendency to again make outputs decrease. The grading returns for the port of Wanganui for the month ■ * March discloses a further falling off, the biggest I decrease being in respect to butter. The figures are as follows: — Butter. March. 1925. 19,851 boxes; March. 1926, 14,380 boxes. Decrease: 5471 boxes, 27.56 per cent. Cheese. March, 1925, 4239 crates; March, 1926, 3770 crates. Decrease. 469 crates, or 11.06 per cent. Converting the lot to a butter fat basis, the figures arc:— March, 1925, .1,268,085 lbs. fat; March, 1926, 964,050 lbs. fat. Decrease: 304,035 lbs. fat, or 23.97 per cent.
