STORM-SWEPT ISLANDS SEVERE LOSSES IN FRUIT RADIO TO MINISTER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 6. A radio received by Sir Maui Poma re from Rarotonga (Cook Islands) states that the storm last Thursday did extensive damage to tho fruit crops, amounting to 75 per cent of the bananas and 50 per cent of oranges, and all the early tomatoes, while the coconut losses were severe.

It is expected the Tahiti will be able to load her cargo of fruit at Rarotonga without trouble.
