ANOTHER TRAIN MYSTERY MISSILE HITS ENGINE CAE CUMOL'S LIQUID (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON, N., April 6. When the train to Palmerston North I from Napier was near the Terrace End I station last night one of two men i standing on the side of the track i threw a bottle containing liquid at the | driver of the train, missing his head iby inches. The bottle struck the upI per ledge of the engine cfeb at the back of Driver Lewin’s head, being smashed to pieces on the ironwork. The men were not under tbo influence of liquor, as they were seen running swiftly awav. | The smell of the liquor from the I bottle was somewhat similar to alco- ' hoi, yet not like any alcoholic beverage in appearance. The train at the time of the incident was travelling at about 30 miles an hour.
