HAURAKI LAND PURCHASE TARMERS CONFIDENT IN PROSPECTS [Per Press Association] THAMES, March 24. The first stale of land for over two years on the Hauraki Plains has just been completed, 100 acres near Turua being purchased by a buyer from the "Wairarapia, who toured the whole are'fi to find a place that suited him. Farmers are unwilling to sell owing to the splendid future of this fertile district. The price, as a going concern, was £45 an *acre. It is estimated that the price cf land alone is £4O an acre.
