NAKED LAMP
CAUSE OF EXPLOSION REDHEAD COLLIERY DISASTER (CORONER DOES NOT FIX BLAME Received Feb. 16, 11.25 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 16. The Coroner returned a verdict that ihe Redhead Colliery disaster was due to an explosion of lire damp caused by the naked Hare lamp of the late shift- ; men. The Coroner added that he was not ■ prepared to say whether there wa« neglect or ommission on the part of the mine officials and deputy.
