PLUNKET APPEAL
MOTOR CAR FOR NURSES. COLLECTION TO-DAY. The Wanganui branch of the Pluuket Society will to-day make its appeal to the public for assistance in providing a motor car for the use of tue Pluukel Nurses in Wanganui and the neighbouring district. It is barely a week since the Society’s executive announced its desire to procure a- car, and in that short period many donations have been received. Already the committee has in hand a sum of about £5O, including a very handsome gift of £25 from Miss M. A. Duncan. As the work of the Plunkct Nurses is entirely for the punlie benefit it is felt that all citizens should have an opportunity to subscribe to the car fund, aud for that purpose a collection will bo made to-day in the city streets and from house to house, as far as can be done. A number of ladies have offered their help, and other volunteers will be welcome. The president of the Society, Mrs A. J. Crawford (lugestre Street; is supervising the campaign for funds.
