FEILDING SALE

A GOOD CLEARANCE. Messrs Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a large yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday. There was good competition throughout the day, and, with the exception of one pen, all lines changed hands. Sheep.—Cull lambs realised 8s to 10s; small w.f. lambs, IDs to 12s; small b.f. lambs, 11s 6d to 13s; w.f. shorn lambs., 13s 6d, 14s, to 15s 3d; w.f. woolly lambs, 14s to 15s; w.f. lambs, 17s to 17s 8d; small 2-tooth wethers, 18s 9d to 20s; cull 2-tooth wethers, 16s sd; aged ewes, 6s Bd, 7s 7d, to 7s 8d; 5-year ewes, 18s; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 26s 2d. Cattle. —A cow, just calved, brought £6; store cows, 355; forward cows, £2 ss; 18-nionth Jersey-cross heifers, 355; 4-ycar P.A. bullocks, £8 10s. LAMBS SELL WELL. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Feilding sale held on Friday, as follows: —A very heavy yarding of all clases of sheep came forward. The majority of the yarding consisted of medium to good lambs. There was a large attendance and the sale went well throughout—rape lambs especially selling well. Inferior ewes were harder to quit. Big bullocks were dull of sale, but younger cattle sold freely. Sheep.—Fat lambs, 24s 6d to 345; fat 2-tooths, 24s 4d; fat wethers, 28s Id; shorn rape lambs, 15s to 18s; woolly, 17s to 18s 9d; store lambs, woolly, to 19s Id; store lambs, shorn, Ils to 17s sd; ewe lambs, shorn, 15s 3d; cull lambs, 6s 6d to 9s 3d; 4 and 5-year breeding ewes, 2,3 s 6d; low conditioned inferior ewes, 6s 6d to Ils Id. Cattle.—Fat cows, £3 5s to £7 7s 6d; forward cows, 37s 6d to £3; 16-months P.A. steers, £4 12s 6d; 16-months PA. small steers, £3 5s to £4 12s; weaner heifers, 14s 6d to £2; heifer and calf, £3 2s 6d; bulls, £2 to £5.
