MUBIWAI BEACH CONTESTS jt NEW ZEALAND MOTOR CUP. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 14. The motor races at Muriwai Beach provided exciting sport. Results were as follows: — New Zealand Motor Cup, 50 miles, R. B. Wilson (Stutz) 1, M. G. Mills (Sunbeam) 2, C. W. F. Hamilton (Sunbeam) 3. Won by seventeen seconds, averaging 86 miles an hour. Wilson drove a fine race, his time being 35min. 37scc. New Zealand Light Car Cup, 50 miles. —F. G. Farrell (Alvis) 1, A. Irvine (Bugatti) 2, Seabrook Fowlds (Austin) 3. Won by several miles. The Austin finished some time later and the Bugatti pulled out. Touring Car Handicap, six miles.— G. G. Goodman (Chandler) 30sec. 1, C. Ah Chee (Chrysler) ssee. 2, G. Tracy ( Armstrong-Siddlcy) 70soc. 3. Won by two minutes, a close finish between second and third. Time: 8.0 4-ssec. Ladies’ Handicap, 21 miles.—Mrs H. Hayes (Rugby) 45see. 1, Miss V. Love (Chandler) lOscc. 2, Mrs McFarlane (Buick) 15sec. 3. Won by 200 yards. Time: 3ntin. 32sec. Junior Handicap, 18 miles.—H. W. Cropp (Chevrolet) 3min. 40sec. 1, A. J. Hoycroft (Bugatti) 3min. 2, F. G. Farrell (Alvis) 48sec. 3. The Chevrolet, which won, held the lead throughout aud was never troubled. Open Handicap, 18 miles.—C. W. F. Hamilton (Sunbeam) 1, G. R. Stuart (Hudson), G. A. Haydon (Ford) 3. Open Handicap, one mile and a-half Straight/—H. W. Cropp (Chevrolet) 1, C. Ah Chee (Chrysler) 2, G. B. Stuart I (Hudson) 3.
