OVERSEA VISITORS.
ENTERTAINED IN THE SOUTH TOUR OF INSPECTION [Per Press Association ] INVERCARGILL, Feb. 12. The Overseas Commission at the Dunedin Exhibition arrived in Invercargill by the afternoon express to-day on a brief visit to the province of Southland. They were met at the starion by the president of the Invercargill <’hamber of Commerce, Mr A. Hoyles, the president of the Southland League, Mr H. F. Drewe. and Messrs A. H. Mackrell and R. A. Anderson. After ' luncheon at the Grand Hotel, where!, the visitors will he quartered until , their departure for Dunedin next Mon- j flay afternoon, the members of the I party were taken for a three hours’! drive round Invercargill and the coun- . trysidc. At night they were the guests I at a complimentary dinner, at which j there was a large and representative J gathering of all sections of Southland’s I agricultural and commercial interests. | To-morrow the Commissioners will I visit Stewart Island/ and with every : prospect of fine weather prevailing the i outing should prove an interesting and ! nn-ir.vnhle one.
