YEAR’S WORK BEGUN. The first meeting for the year of the Wanganui Central Branch of the W.C.T.U. t*ook place in Trinity Church parlour yesterday afternoon, the president, Mrs Goodey, in the chair. Devotional exercises were led by the president, who gave a short New Year address. Apologies were received from several members, some of whom were ill, and much sympathy was expressed. Interesting correspondence was read by the secretary from Mrs Lee-Cowie Auckland. The balance sheet for the year 1925 was read, showing a balance of £4 Ss. It was decided to send a delegate to the Convention, to be held at Christchurch early in March. It was decided to have a street stall at the end of the present month.
