CAUSE AND EFFECT

FALL FROM A CAR DEATH OF MIDDLE-AGED MAN [Per Press Association] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 4. Unusual circumstances were revealed at an inquest concerning the death of Wm. Leitze, a middle-aged man, who fell from a New Brighton car on the night of January 25 and succumbed in the hospital the following day. The evidence showed that Leitze received only slight injuries in the fall, and that death was due to haemorrhage of the brain which was the result of a disease and which probably caused the fall. A verdict was returned accordingly.
